tile me purple

Just popping up for air quickly to show you what I’ve been working on: an isometric tile engine in a web browser.

My intent is to use this as my interface for goodnight, the LoM/DDR clone I mentioned previously. Work is very slow, but I’m starting to actually get the interfaces fleshed out properly.

And by the way, Inkscape is incredible. Compare the original mountain terrain graphic from DDR with the fancy SVG-based version made with Inkscape’s “Trace Bitmap” feature. I converted all the 17 DDR terrain graphics to SVG and thence to PNG during my hour morning bus trip, and they look fantastic.
