OpenZFS Field Notes
In March 2023 I started working full time on OpenZFS, which has meant having to learn everything about it in a short amount of time. I found that a lot of the internals are barely documented, so you need to study the code, read blog posts, watch conference talks and ask questions to really get a good feel for it. That and just try to hack your feature in and see what breaks, and learn everything while fixing it up.
So as I learned, Iāve been taking notes, and I thought it would be worth tidying them up a little and posting them, both for my own reference, and maybe to help other people find their way around too.
